Marissa's Birthday!

My baby girl turned 10 on May 5. I can't believe she is that old already. It seems like yesterday she was a tiny little thing. We had a fun party on Saturday which included friends and family. She had her best friend Kayla over for two nights... boy I tell ya... I couldn't have two girls the same age LOL. Now I know what I was like when I was ten!

Look what I found in our tree!

There is this beautiful tree in our backyard and this past weekend we found this... Under the bird is nest with babies!! I am keeping a lookout for them!

Jamestown Fieldtrip!

I went with Marissa's 4th grade class to Jamestown in April and yes am just now getting to the blog! LOL. Things are busy! Ok, so our trip was so much fun, it wasn't too hot., and it was great... tidewater is normally very humid in the springtime and summer! Thought I would share a couple photos...

What A Big Boy Now!

Last week Cameron finally decided he wanted his training wheels off his bike. I thought it was going to be a difficult thing for him, but yet again I am surprised on how he did. Here are a few photos of my little man.

MRI Update

I have been putting this off all day. I had my doctors appointment on Monday with the neurologist. He is sending me in for more testing. They say it doesn't look like a tumor, but there is always that possibility. I do a section of my brain in the temporal lobe that there is no brain matter. When the doctor told me this I couldn't believe it, and then when I called my mom she said now we know whats wrong with you LOL. we have to keep a smile...

I have to go back to the hospital on Monday the 13th. They are running more tests - a mri mra which is basically more detailed testing of the blood vessels, etc. From there they are setting up an appointment with the University of Virginia Medical Center with a neurosurgeon. I am trying to stay calm, but there is that part of me that is scared. When I know more I will be sure to update you all. Thanks for listening.

On a better note, I am staying busy when I can shooting - The kids are doing great - just amazes me. Its finally starting to get warmer here. We have had windows open and shorts on! - Dave is in Dallas at the moment but will be home for Easter. He is gone about 6-9 days out at a time now., I am getting used to it.

Tell me one thing... how do you get through knowing there could something potentially serious be wrong. - I have so much I want to do in my life, and with the kids, Dave and the list goes on. I have found myself praying all the time anymore., you know I can put on a good front and have done it for years... but I guess I am scared now to let anyone in - does that makes sense? Ok I am going to go get the kids ready for bed. - and then work tonight... don't think I will be sleeping alot.

John and Abigail

Over the past 7 weeks, I have sat every Sunday evening watching the 7 part miniseries John Adams. History its self interests me so much. Its amazing how people lived back then, how the birth of our country was made. When you sit back and think, just how many people lost their lives for our freedom, the sweat and tears that fell.


Looking back I wonder how Abigail Adams did it so long without her wonderful husband at her side. She seemed to be such a strong lady, loosing one of her sons, and her only daughter before her death, just a week before their 54th wedding anniversary. I myself know how wonderful it is to have the love of your life., and I feel like when John lost Abigail he lost his whole heart. I am so happy I got the opportunity to watch the entire miniseries!

Our trip to the dentist

Cameron had his first trip to the dentist on Wednesday. He did fantastic! My mom is a dental assistant and she always cleans both of the kids teeth. Cam sat so good for her! Great check up for Cam., he has all 20 teeth!

Marissa however is missing the tooth we feared she was missing, however there are several options that are possible... She will end up having braces one of these days, looks like I need to start saving up now.

Weekend...

This past weekend overall was great. I did a bridal shoot on Saturday and then went over to a friends house for a bit, before going back to moms to pick up the kids. Then later on that evening I got a huge headache., I am really going to have to speak with my doctor again about these migraines. Dave was off yesterday and today. I can't remember the last time we spent some great family quality time together. I really don't want him going back to work tomorrow!

I did most of the Easter shopping today also., only need to pick up a few things. Dave has to work on Easter, but I at least think we will be having dinner sometime together. Today he made some wonderful meatballs, then we ended up having sketti for dinner! Yummy!

I am waiting on laundry to finish in the washer so I can head to bed., I haven't felt to hot for the past couple of hours... don't know what my problem is. I will be posting some new photos on my photography blog from this past shoot later in the week. Yawn... time for bed!

Everyday Life in My home

There is always something going on in our home. Most of the time its something so funny and senseless, ok so to start, the other night I asked Marissa to feed the dogs and she did, like normal... then yesterday I go to feed them in the daytime, and can't seem to find the dog food, we keep it in the laundry room off the kitchen and always have., so... I give them a little bit of cat food for the night... then just a few mins ago I was getting ready to put clothes in the dryer, open it and sure enough there is the bag of dog food... Cameron must have put it in there!!! LOL.., just the simple things that go on around here!

My Ouchie!

This past weekend... my grandma and aunt drove in and I decided to stay at my moms to visit... we had a blast until... dum dum dum... I let Cameron go outside and play... and he come to the door, asking to go potty, so I carry him to the potty and on the way back I trip over toys almost dropping him in the floor and go foot first into the coffee table dislocating my toe! I think I cried with pain for ten mins or so! It hurt so much... so on Monday I decided to take a pic to show my mom really how bad it was... It's finally starting to feel better but oh my I thought I was going to die!

Gloomy Day

Oh what a beautiful morning to wake up to.... but of course I am being sarcastic... It's dark and gloomy, Cameron has been up since about 5 am, and grumpy. I am ready to just go back to bed. There are so many things that need to be done today., cleaning, and some work on my website., but what I am counting on the most is that nap sometime soon! Hopefully Cam will fall asleep on the couch, and keep me warm! Dave is getting ready to leave from work and I think as soon as he leaves I will go ahead and get things done, that way I can relax later..... Off to be mommy...

Sick

Both kids have been sick for the last several days... I think they have given it to me! I am so tired, and would love to just go to bed~ I kept Marissa home from school today, and neither of the kids decided to get up early at all. I do have some work that I want to edit and upload, but that has to be put on hold till mommy gets a minute!

New sink faucet.....

We decided to go look this weekend for a sink faucet, we ended up buying one, and spent this evening installing it! It really wasn't hard, just getting to the screws, and boy that was a job. I also had to fix the garbage disposal this weekend, I thought we needed a new one, but it turns out they make a tool you can buy to see if there is a jam, so we bought the tool, I used it, and yep it was jammed! Woohoo, this home owning is a learning experience! I guess tomorrow, I will spending the day cleaning, since I came home this evening, from Dave and I eating and running a few errands, and basically the house was trashed! Cam's room, the living room, and I didn't even go into Marissa's!! I have alot of things I would like to get done tomorrow... It is predicted to be 70!!! Hopefully so, and I will do a few things outside, and move a few things to the building., and maybe let Cameron play with his powerwheel (hehe). Headed to bed on this end., I am wore out....
